Headlines:
Don’t drink bleach to prevent coronavirus, poison control center says.

I understand it technically works, but the side effect of dying first is rather harsh. :)

This is statistically improbable. If it passed, it should have taken some of us with it.

Don’t know. I had 2 thermometers and my daughters lost them both.
It came on kinda fast, sore throat overnight, couldn’t sleep due to coughing, missed 2 days of work, heavy coughing for a week that persisted for a month. Monday will be 5 weeks.

Because despite that, not all Chinese visit every town in the US.

You've got to be kidding.

I put forth this hypothesis back in January because I watched many employees at the Nashville Airport experience a viral infection in mid to late December that was highly infectious and caused the same symptoms as described for the Wuhan Virus. The older employees were bedridden and it really kicked them down yet it was not the Influenza. Younger employees had minor symptoms. I suspected a mycoplasmal origin but viral is more likely.

The numbers travelling back and forth between Wuhan and places in the US was huge.

There’s no real chance that the infection wasn’t carried over here in the very beginning of it.

You had a stomach problem. COVID-19 is a form of viral pneumonia. It doesn’t include vomiting.

How do scientists determine the origin and essentially the age of a virus? Anyone?

Hi, I watched a doctor's video on YouTube about this topic. I'll see if I can find it again and provide link later. What I remember is that as a virus creates more copies of itself, each new generation has subtle differences that can be tracked to determine regeneration speed and approximately how many generations since original virus. It's similar, but different to the idea of mutation tracking. I'm no expert if you couldn't tell 😁

Serologic tests are easier to mount on high through put testing platforms. That would spell the end of testing shortage. Millions of tests could be made in a short period.

This is statistically improbable. If it passed, it should have taken some of us with it.

They are claiming 80,000 passed from the seasonal flu this season.

Essentially the same symptoms, impossible to confirm Wuhan virus before the test became available. Hear hoof beats, assume horses, not zebras.

"During a typical year in the United States, 30,000 to 50,000 persons die as a result of influenza viral infection." ~ www.globalsecurity.org

If this was a high typical season, 30,000 of the 80,000 reported could easily have been Wuhan virus. An elderly or high risk patient dying under doctors' care of "the flu" doesn't even rate an autopsy in most places.

Same with my 75 year old mother. Early/mid January she had 4 weeks of heavy chest congestion. My 76 year old father had it and a fever for 3 or 4 days. He has a great immune system. I think it might have come though but don’t know.

Never had a cough stick around this long.
A week at most.
Considering I live in Lauderdale where it’s warm

I can answer this, but it is a huge question. Do you want to learn about virology?

Do you want the laymans answer?

virus like covid will induce vomiting secondary to coughing.

You think that all Chinese, even just in Wuhan, visit all US towns during every week? I think I’d notice an extra 11 million people in my town even just for one night a week. They’d probably notice that addition to normal commuters even in NYC.

Well then I guess all the other countries that have creamed us, and still are creaming us at testing are just lucky, right? They performed and we didn’t even have a team in the locker room. We came in at third world standards. There is no way to be obfuscate the CDC/FDA failure. They got paid for pandemic planning. They blew it. Heads should roll. That is the ONLY way the feds learn.
