I guess that just leaves the two of us.
I suspect there are deeper, political, machinations in play here on the part of the President.

I’m visiting my mother in LA. It’s warm here although we’re being subjected to a very unusual storm yielding lots of rain. Seems this will continue for another week-and-a-half, at least.
Stunning how the shelves at major grocery stores have cleared of basic commodities. Masks are commonplace. I have not, nor has anyone I’ve talked to, encountered anyone with any variation of flu or flu-like symptoms.
Much less this Coronavirus iteration. Yet everyone’s on pins and needles. Stores are closed. Nobody shakes hands anymore. The masks. Sensible, JIC. It does all seem to be overreaction.
I read there have been 884 fatalities in the US. More than 20,000 (almost all elderly) from the common flu this season. Or else, as many as 55,000 from the common flu. Both statistics are bound to increase until temperatures rise with the passing seasons ... and then taper.
Don’t know what I’m missing. The Coronavirus may be something to really fear and prep for. It’s a statistical blip on the radar based on the information I’m finding online.
