Former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign issued an apology after his first-ever virtual town hall was interrupted multiple times by “technical difficulties" and perceived gaffes.
“Tonight, you tuned in to our first ever virtual town hall. And unfortunately, we had some technical difficulties. That’s our bad,” his campaign explained.
“We’re working every day to make this campaign better. And in this new era, we are experimenting with new technology. We promise to do better next time.”
The campaign also posted an edited version online.
The town hall, which was held online due to fears about the coronavirus, was widely panned by news media and social media users.
The Verge labeled the event as a “technical nightmare,” and Fox News’s headline read, “Plug pulled on Biden 'virtual town hall' after technical glitches, miscues.”
A CNN Twitter post describes the event as a “technical calamity.”
Liberal activist and political consultant Jordan Uhl referred to Biden’s performance in general as “bizarre.”
“In a bizarre, meandering livestream put on by Joe Biden's campaign today, he forgets what year it is and when, if he doesn't lose, he would be in office,” Uhl said on Twitter. "At another point, he seemingly forgets he's on a live stream and walks out of frame. The feed cuts away to a logo instead."

Perceived gaffes? As if they are only bizarre ramblings because I perceive them as such? LOL What a pantload.
Reporters have endless euphemisms to avoid speaking facts and truths.
Now now, don't jump to conclusions it could always be Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.
Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease may occur spontaneously, be inherited,or be transmitted by contact with infected tissue, such as during a transplant or from eating contaminated meat.
Maybe those plugs actually created holes in his head. Really it doesn't matter, Mad Cow, Alzheimer's or Sundowners, Joe is an erratic, rage filled, Loony Toons character who unfortunately when his head explodes won't be back in the next episode.
Ron Popeil would make millions selling the Gaffe-omatic. Three easy payments of just $19.99. Joe Biden would be the spokesperson (ala the George Foreman grill). Joe could finish the advertisement by saying: I'm Joe Biden, and I forgot this message.

Bizarre to see US Senators Richard Durbin and Tammy Duckworth of Illinois waiting to take part in the botched Joe Biden for Illinois live stream debacle. Amazing to see how badly this backfired despite the Dems effort to rig it for “Clueless Joe.”
It is a shame that the 25th Amendment does not apply to presidential candidates like Biden.
It’s really not funny. Those with cognitive issues as this often don’t realize they’re off the mark and will just continue to chit chat as they believe they’re engaging with you. And even when they know they’re not completing sentences they keep going hoping you didn’t see it.

Same here. Once someone realized what was going on and how bad it looked, they stopped it. Plenty of groups have streamed live events to tens of not hundreds of thousands of people, sometimes on very short notice.
