Early on before, the numbers have have a chance to settle down the more vulnerable die before the more robust have succeeded in fighting it off.

it may only take a matter of days for the virus to push someone who is already on the edge over it.

While a healthier person might take weeks to fight it off.

Early reports will always be front loaded with victims. Don’t be too concerned with the hysterically high early fatality rates. (At first it got my full undivided attention!)

I thought I heard that only WV had no cases but this map indicates that both Idaho and Missouri don’t either.

The average in the city is $1.65-ish, but stations nearest to me still stuck on $1.84 or more.

All the salads and carrots were gone yesterday. Plenty of stuff like kohlrabi still there.

No more muffins, but strudel was still available, especially if it's pineapple.

The empty meat coolers were a surprise. With all the talk about vegetarians and vegans I didn't realize that America still eats meat in such a big way.

Most of the dead are old Italians. But interesting point - I’ve not heard from my contacts on the ground about statistics of those infected.

it’s not only those. People with diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiac problems, chemotherapy patients etc. are also those with higher risk as they have weakened immune systems

Hughes insisted on using tissues to pick up objects to insulate himself from germs. He would also notice dust, stains, or other imperfections on people’s clothes and demand that they take care of them.

In the first episode of "Wings", there's a great scene where someone mentions that HH kept his fingernail clippings in a jar. The quasi-idiot airplane mechanic Lowell (perfectly played by Thomas Haden Church) says "Isn't it interesting how some people have the same habits." The guy says, "Lowell, he keeps his urine in bottles." "Lowell: This is incredible!" and walks off, shaking his head.

#1 correlation with Prostrate cancer, the #3 cancer killer? Too much alcohol and too little calcium, as in milk, cottage chees.

#1 correlation with Breast cancer? Lifestyle.

#1 correlation with Diabetes? and Maternal deaths? Too much sugar. Certain demographic feeds far more sugar to their children starting when babies. They grow up addicted to sugar. Now grown up they get pregnant and expeience maternal problems and many die...due to too much sugar. Those who don’t die repeat the cycle with the next generation and do not learn... or at least most of them do not learn.

Chosen lifestyle is very, very influential in tragedies apparently acts of God. Careful before you blame acts of humans on acts of God.

Hmm, so home remedies for the Wuhan Virus:

China - garlic water
India - cow urine
Iran - Imam spit and licking walls
USA - pallets of TP

On the plus side, this gives folks a glimpse of what a store in a socialist country looks like on a normal day.

Yes, the lines of people waiting to buy food that Bernie admires are coming to American...

If you are going to blame virtually all illnesses on lifestyle, then you should know there is no such thing as Prostrate cancer.

Being in IT and not a doctor, and seeing many madical sites rate Prostrate Cancer as the 3rd leading cause of deaths from Cancer, I’m curious what others say Prostrate Cancer and the deaths that follow really are?

Incidentally, my interest is purely professional, not personal. I never touch alcohol and do ingest nuch milk and cottage cheese. The leading positive and negative correlations with alleged Prostrate cancer. So statistically I am not at risk.

Just wait a couple of days. The supermarket raiders will then have raided whatever they can, supply will come again and you’ll be able to do your shopping in 10 minutes. Supplies will always be available, it takes way more than what is happening right now to stop the movement of goods.

Don’t panic

In one month from the 15th of March - i.e. by the 15th of April 2020? I'm going to guess it will be 2,000 people dead. The virus is already in the USA, there are already people dying (mostly the really elderly) and the USA has 300+ million people -- a death rate of even 0.0061% will still be IN A WORST CASE SCENARIO (perhaps Im being optimistic) 18,300 dead by the time it washes over. Taking stern measures can reduce that to 2,000 or 3,000 - but that's going to be the minimum number.

NOTE: I am not an epidemologist so I hope, I pray that I am wrong and the numbers are lower

Don’t worry — the toilet paper manufacturers are still functioning, the supply chain is still functioning, the stores are still open.

head over to the shops this week and you’ll find toilet paper — the hoarders have cleared out the stock, but this week’s will come in.
