I guess it might be rude, but why they feel the need to push an empty shopping cart for the 3 hours they’re waiting to get into the store?

I’m guessing that they don’t think. Three weeks ago I told my family to get ready. One thought it wouldn’t get bad, the other was focused on their vacation and this wasn’t even on their mind.
I did get the one to go out and do some preps about two weeks ago. I have no idea what the other one will find (after their airplane flight) what things are like back home.
The one that did get some stuff and changed their travel plans asked me how I knew in advance. “Well - there is this website that I’m on and.....”
