I have been using hand sanitizer after I pump gas.

In one week the skin on my hands is as dry as it was in very cold Chicago winter.

I have a stash of clorox,wipes, but Using them without gloves would destroy my hands.

And I don’t have enough gloves to dispose of them after every use.

Maybe someone else has a better idea?

We’ve been using the clorox wipes to touch the screen/hold the gas pump and then wiping down the card when we’re done.

I’ve been making my own sanitizer from the recipe posted on these threads:

2/3 91% rubbing alcohol
1/3 water
A few drops tea tree oil.

The tea tree oil keeps your hands a bit moist, but smells a little strong.

I was thinking to replace the tea tree oil with whatever sex oil you have on hand. Just a couple of drops...

My wife and I put on gloves when we leave the house, except for walks around the neighborhood for exercise, and dispose of them when we return. Plus we're both retired. I'm dead if I contract CoVid-19 and it moves into my lower respiratory tract, so my wife does all the shopping late at night. We've done this for thirteen days now and used maybe 8-9 pairs of gloves total.

Which means 80-90 pairs of gloves in four months, and we have something like 600.

I have been using baby wipes and then hand sanitizer and don’t worry about the gloves. Although I do wipe down the steering wheel, shifter, etc. with clorox wipes. But seeing as you are sensitive to that....

I did buy a bunch of cheap cotton gloves. Can be tossed in the sink and washed over and over again. Maybe wear the cotton gloves out and about. Come home, put on a pair of reusable rubber gloves (dish washing gloves, industrial type rubber gloves, etc.) to wipe down the inside of the car with.
