I just got back from trader Joes Los Angeles. EVERY SINGLE REGISTER had a a line of people waiting going all the way to the opposite side of the building. every line was was open. things were sold out.
I was at local grocery store...Vons, a huge chain. there were lines of cars trying to get into the parking lot. Many things were sold out.
But, from monitoring that store every day for a week, most things, like paper products are restocked daily EARLY IN THE MORNING.
There was a mild element of panic...yet really nothing to panic about.
The time to have properly prepare for this, was 6 weeks ago.
Yes, I see the women with their shopping carts going back home when I’m on my way to work in the morning. Some full of toilet paper, some with huge opaque plastic bags full of . . . probably toilet paper. A lot of people have caught on about getting there soon after the trucks arrive with the stuff.
