He Has 17,700 Bottles of Hand Sanitizer and Nowhere to Sell Them
Silicon Valley Was First to Send Workers Home. It’s Been Messy.
Idiot. (The guy in the article, not you!)
He could have sold the $1 Purell bottles for $20 for lots of 10 and then charged shipping @ cost plus a couple bucks for packing, and no one would have blinked an eye - unless he couldn’t get ‘em shipped fast enough.
Better yet, he should have looked for a bulk distributor to get his cost down to $.60 a bottle or so.
Instead Great-granny in Podunk-Ville who maybe doesn’t even do e-mail can’t get sanitizer @ Dollar General & gets the virus.
That said, I also find it ridiculous that eBay blocks all sales of the stuff. Just turn over the most egregious offenders to LE and post such on your log in page.
Aldi here put a limit of 4 on such purchases & was able to maintain stock for a couple days, at least.
Good.
Greedy (fill in the blank).
It disgusts me when people try to skim a profit off those in need for just financial gain.
It may not be illegal, but it certainly is not right.
