“The case is a 29-year-old male who resides in Belton,” County Judge Blackburn said, “The case appears to be travel-related.”
According to a news release, the individual is undergoing confirmation testing with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Officials said the male patient in Belton has a travel history of visiting Barcelona, Spain, and Paris, France between March 4 and March 10. The District has initiated self-isolation protocol and is tracing the patient’s contact.”
“SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – Three people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Tyler, according to Jenny Wells with the city. No details about the patients have been released due to HIPAA laws. One patient is in serious condition. The patients are believed to be travel-related cases.”
