There is no chance even there that the majority of cases are being detected.
That’s Laz’s line. I hope you paid him the royalty fee. :)
Commonwealth of Virginia Reports First COVID-19 Death
in the Peninsula Health District: http://ow.ly/XVdC50yLV46. Virginia has 41 cases of COVID-19.
Ok, I’ll say it, assassination attempt?
Earlier, the journalist was referred to as a female.
The actual number of estimated cases, however, was 36 million.
The same thing is true with Corona -- must cases are not being confirmed because most don't seek medical care.
Most people don't go to a doctor for a cold or the flu.
Ya gotta wonder.
If not Trump, then basically anyone else near him or in that room.
Blows my mind that so far this year over 20,000 have died of the flu and YET there has been NO DAILY reporting of each and every death!! People would be STUNNED to see how many children have died of the flu!!!
I hope they have a good lawyer. City Harvest, which collects unused food from restaurants, is totally insured.
the people pushing it have no clue about the background failsafes in place.

Who knows the flaw in the “over 70” plan?
.........
Here it is: While the elderly are much much more likely to die from CV than other folks, they are not _that_ much more likely to require hospitalization than other folks.
We need more data, but my quick estimate is that would only reduce hospitalizations by at most 25%.
That may seem like a lot, but the NHS will probably be overloaded by a factor of ten or more before this is over, so this is a true “hail mary”.
It is probably good for the over 70 folks as long as basic supplies are delivered to them somehow.
Missed this yesterday. What an idiot to be traveling where he did. Was he not asked any questions at the airport? Probably passed through 2 US airports - Dallas or Austin and then a commuter to Belton.

“The case is a 29-year-old male who resides in Belton,” County Judge Blackburn said, “The case appears to be travel-related.”
According to a news release, the individual is undergoing confirmation testing with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Officials said the male patient in Belton has a travel history of visiting Barcelona, Spain, and Paris, France between March 4 and March 10. The District has initiated self-isolation protocol and is tracing the patient’s contact.”
Further comment—I do give the Brits credit for creativity.
When are totally fried, you might as well try something new...

Oh wait, what about the politicians over 70? Business leaders? ;-)
Not at all. It’s from working for a utility with two base load nuke plants and being surrounded with folks in the energy industry. Contingency plans after backup plans.
