Americans love food like sandwiches, potato chips, fruit, hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chips, tacos, tortilla chips, nachos, and tons of other things we eat with our bare hands. Licking your fingers after they have been in your food, doesn't seem likely to increase your risk. How about going to a buffet where everyone is using the same utensils to put food on their plates?

I'm still trying to get my head around the Brits, as I recall the ad(I don't watch any ads, that's what a remote is for) it's about their chicken being so good you want more so you lick your finger clean for the flavor. Is it a thing in England where they lick other peoples fingers? Or is it that they are just pussified whiners?
