My daughter who is teacher in a nearby town south of Boston called me tonight and told me they were closing down the school starting tomorrow , and all of next week. Stay home.
I asked her if she would go to breakfast this weekend with me and her mother as she usually does, and she gave me a lecture on how I should be staying home because of my age and pre-existing conditions.
Earlier a woman friend dropped by, and told how at the local supermarket for the first time, it was packed with people buying up ,and emptying some of the shelves.
My town, Scituate MA, the most Irish town in America, has cancelled the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
