In contrast to most other countries, South Koreas reports of new cases have begun to slow at least for now. Unlike other countries with major outbreaks, South Korea, with a population of 50 million, has not outright restricted the movement of its citizens and has instead focused on aggressively monitoring for infections. More than 7,800 cases and 66 deaths have been reported.

Our daughter’s “Italian Family” (her host family in high school) live northwest of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna in the “Do not travel” red zone. We pray they are ok. Our daughter has not heard from them yet.
