Trump dismisses coronavirus question from CNN's Jim Acosta as 'fake news'
Washington Examiner ^ | 03-12-20 | Andrew Mark Miller

President Trump and CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta were involved in a heated exchange during which the president dismissed the reporter’s network as "fake news." Trump addressed the nation from the Oval Office on Wednesday night in an attempt to quell coronavirus fears in a move that Acosta criticized on television. Acosta asked Trump if he is taking the coronavirus seriously enough. "That is CNN. Fake News," the president responded. "Thank you very much."

Acosta should not be permitted credentials to step on the grounds.

Acosta should be permitted only in the men's room. He should be given an office there. He does not belong in a news room.

Why does he take questions from Acosta!?

He took a question from Acosta over in India too, and used the opportunity to dress him down.

I can't remember who replayed the moment, I think it was on Brett Baier's afternoon show, and all the panelists agreed that Trump called on Acosta because it gave Trump an opportunity to thrash him around a little, but also (downside) allowed Acosta to preen before the other brainless chickenshets.

“Why does he take questions from Acosta!?”

Probably because it’s so much fun to smack him down.

Has anyone else noticed a new Dem/MSM Talking Point:

“Only bigots and racists use China and Coronavirus in the same sentence”.

One wonders how much testing they did on this idiotic idea before letting it loose in the wild.

Acosta should not be permitted credentials to step on the grounds.

I believe his credentials were pulled about a year ago, but some lefty judge ordered them reinstated.

“Why is he calling on Acosta?”

Nothing gets the word out faster than when President Trump tells the American people,

“CNN, the Leader in Fake News.”

It’s quite powerful.

Pressure is coming direct from the ChiComs. People are getting paid, many.

Which is why I never go with a numerical name. I call it the ChiCom Virus.

If you don’t like it, too bad. I write it that way too.

Why is Acosta still in the White House? Hopefully, now that a new, loyal Chief of Staff is coming in, all these riff raff will be swept the heck out of the White House.

Acosta is back in the WH because a “Trump” judge ordered it.

Trump toys with Acosta and CNN. Who takes CNN seriously? All three of their viewers? But seriously, I once worked the numbers using their ratings. PA has a population of 12 million. Using PA's percentage of the US population makes for approximately 23k people in PA watching CNN at any given time in prime time. I venture to guess there are more than 23k people going through PHL and PIT.

I would sort of miss CNN if they folded. Trump wouldn't have them to play with any longer.

agree, there is about 30+ people in the room, take up to 25 questions, leave Acosta out.

When Acosta’s credentials were taken, and the IDIOT judge declared they must be given back, trump should have responded with a request for a stay of execution until the judge defined what ‘due process’ he meant.

There is no ‘due process’ for essentially civil matters. Having a press pass is a COURTESY and it can be easily revoked if you are rude or obnoxious. In Acosta’s case he went FAR overboard, physically assaulting the woman who was trying to get the microphone for the next person.

He should not be allowed near the White House. CNN should be informed that they can send another reporter, just not him.

IO would go a step further and warn them that the next person who behaves like that would have their whole network banned.

One wonders how much testing they did on this idiotic idea before letting it loose in the wild.

Wouldn't you love to get on the list for the focus groups they use? It would be fun to upvote the most moronic catchphrases they come up with. On the other hand, it sounds like quite a few people have beaten me to the punch, based on some of the idiocy they come up with.

Most humorous to me are the compilation videos that show, especially on the Sunday morning shows, everyone repeating the exact same phrase, showing complete coordination between the DNC, the candidates, the opinion pundits and the hard news teleprompter readers. They clearly focus-group a phrase and then get it out to everyone at once.
