Manila is now on lockdown.

there is a travel ban, schools are shut, and mass gatherings are forbidden.

Philippine workers from overseas are going into quarantine.

if A “BARANGAY” i.e. neighborhood, has two cases, the entire neighborhood will be quarantined.

adds this information:

“All manufacturing, retail and service establishments are advised to remain in operation during the said period, provided that strict social distancing measures are required to be observed by their respective managements,” the resolution said.

In addition, mass public transport such as the Light Rail Transits, the Metro Rail Transit, and the Philippine National Railways shall continue in operation with guidelines to ensure social distancing in public transport.

we live in the provinces so should be okay for now, but most families have kids working in Manila who visit all the time, and our business does deliver rice to Manila once a week, so it's just a matter of time.

“Manila is now on lockdown.”

That vast left-wing conspiracy group has control of the Philippine government too. They did this to make Trump look bad.

“so it’s just a matter of time”

Keep distance. Avoid closed spaces (if it’s air conditioned, avoid) and wash your hands and everything else.

You’ll be OK out in the stix.

I’ve been to PI many, many times. One of my best friends just left there a month ago, took his whole family on vacation.

Hell, I can still smell the outdoor grills and Mekong Whiskey.
