Mr. b has a doctor’s appoint Monday to get his meds and for real that the day the drawbridge is up for good.
This morning, I did a pre dawn LAST run to Lowes and the grocery store. Found what I needed at Lowes and customers were about normal for mid day.
At the grocery store, it was just as crowded as at 5 pm. They were restocking everything as fast as they could but lots and lots of empty shelves. Cleansers were nearly out. No hand sanitizer or alcohol but a few hydrogen peroxide. The very few paper towels and kleenex were probably gone by the time I got through the checkout. TP totally out and has been for two+ days and the truck wont be back for another two days - if at all.
The attitude was different. Surprised no one was begging to get something out of anyones cart like they usually do here in our little Venezuela del Norte grocery with hit and miss products. Everyone had their heads down not chitchatting (except shocked looks at the tp) getting what they could as fast as they could before daylight.
The drunk partying Spring Break crowd will hit here big time by 3 pm today. There were a few during the week but we usually stay in during the next couple weeks anyway but this will be more worrisome. They’ll be bringing in their germs from who knows where.

I hope Mr B doesn’t have to wait around with a bunch of sick folks in the waiting room. I need to make one last run for liquid acetaminophen. My Mom has been getting a fever about 8pm the last 2 days. Weird, it is normal all day, then around 8pm...boing.
She has a concierge doc, but I really don’t want her to be around any doctor or lab for a blood draw right now.
