I started laying in supplies a few weeks ago and have a good month of food, medicines, etc. Never crossed my mind everyone would hoard TP. Fortunately, I have plenty as our local stores are all out.
Can still get plenty of food and limited sanitizer. Liquid bleach yes. Clorox wipes no.
I’ll also add, wife has a couple of nice new cotton shower curtains I’ve been eyeing in case the TP runs out.. :)
Everyone is hoarding toilet paper because of media stories about everyone hoarding toilet paper.

I did the same when I first heard of the virus. We did not buy anything we would not normally use, we just stocked up more (turning a book case into a pantry).
The only extra was to be sure we got “flu” medicine and more aspirins as well as disposable gloves.
We are good for about six weeks as is, but will continue doing weekly shopping until we need to self quarantine.
My grandmother lived through the depression and WWII, Korea, Viet Nam. When we ramped up the Gulf War in 1991, she bought a whole lot of TP. She still had a bunch of it in 1993 when my folks moved her from Bend, OR, back to Nampa, ID.
