Another thing that those posters are ignoring:
It may be that most deaths are occurring in those over 70, but, at least in Italy, there are good number of younger people that have required hospitalization.
The more that require hospitalization, the worse the outcome for all.
The deaths of those over 70 are because they don’t do anything for anyone over 65.
Over 65 or under with any existing conditions (diabetes, cancer, hypertension, etc) don’t get ICU beds.
If this were 100 years ago the age profile of the dead would be much younger as nobody would get an ‘icu bed’.
If they had enough ICU beds for everyone, the elderly wouldn’t be dropping like flies.
The “this is not about me” posters are both selfish and stupid—a tough way to go through life!
