Just a general question...
OK, we’re stopping all flights to and from Europe for 30 days - with the exception of the UK.
But what’s to stop a possibly infected individual from taking a flight from Rome to London and then transferring to a flight to the US?
Or for that matter, a guy catches an Iran Air flight out of Teheran to Munich and then transfers to a Lufthansa flight to New York?
How would we know this? Checking passports for recent stamps?
I would think passports would be the key.
That's not really the point. People can always get here somehow, but Trump is trying to reduce the numbers. It simply means fewer potentially infected people coming.
This is why I am not pleased when the President and his team make such a big deal about stopping flights from China.
Folks from Wuhan got on flights to Thailand—next stop—wherever they wanted to go...
The Thai airports were overrun...
Herding cats, herding cats...
Taking the scenic route is always a worry. Of course, they could always hitch a flight on a carrier since trade goods are free to travel from ANYWHERE to a US airport. Did you see the two carrier guys who flew into LAX with CV?
