LEWISBURG, Pa. There aren't many people on Bucknell University's campus as school is out for spring break. When students return, they won't be coming back for classes; instead, students living on campus will have to move out.
The university starts "remote education mode" next week because of the coronavirus.

For what that diploma costs, parents and kids want to party hearty.
I've seen Bucknell up close and imho they should worry more about the alcohol epidemic on their hands. That and other substances.
Sounds like Vanderbilt and Belmont are doing the same.
Snowflakes LOSING THEIR MINDS!
Harvard Med as well...
I have posted that we have a friend who has basically established and excellent on line MBA with a major university, and how he is more than ready to do the same for
K-12 and then any college.
Teacher unions and janitor/school bus unions will be hit the hardest as Americans will realize there is no need for 4 walls and being taxed into poverty for excellent schooling.
School is more for day care (working parents) so I don’t see that changing for most folks.
makes sense- i mean what we know about the chinese flu is people under the age of 21 are the ones least effected never mind campus life is its own sort of quarantine...these students will lock themselves in their home and not mingle on the outside... /sarc
Unbelievable overreactions going on in this country. We’re up to 1000 known cases - out of 350 Million! 480,000 people die each year in America from smoking-related diseases. 37,000 from car accidents.
The press is pushing the panic button solely to subvert Trump. They want to make this his Katrina.
It's criminal, non-sick people are pushing those in need aside taking up medical resources, the media has blood on their hands.
Campuses across America will soon be homeless centers and online learning will cost a fortune.
Nearby Bloomsburg U is extending spring break, suspending travel and many events...due to coronavirus, despite not having a single case of it as of this moment.
Meanwhile you need a BAC (blood alcohol content) of .04 just to get into Bloom U, and your chances of being killed by a drunken student are far more likely than dying of a Chinese flu.
All of those Western PA. colleges are pure drunken cities of debauchery.
An excellent point. Just shows you every cloud has its silver lining.
Lose the campus, cut tuition and come into the 21st century.

Yep, a breakfast, lunch and supper playground with a little schooling thrown in often with terrible teachers and a WOKE agenda.
Excellent summary of what needs to be done and will be done with many schools.
They won’t be able to put this toothpaste back into the tube. This “remote education” protocol is being presented as “as good as” in-class education. If not, all paying students are being cheated.
Since remote classes are as good as in-person classes, why continue to pay for the upkeep of campus infrastructure? Why not forego all in-person instruction? Wouldn’t costs be drastically lower if all engaged in remote learning?
Lose the campus, cut tuition and come into the 21st century.
