You should watch badgers vs snakes...Snakes are no match...
This is absolutely remarkable. One thing did concern me though, and I’m not sure what to make of it. The writer states, “One armchair wildlife expert commented on the squirrel mom’s heroic acts at how amazing it is that she used her tail to confuse the snake and make it strike it instead....The ground squirrels use their tails as a decoy just like what the video has shown and the venom of the cobra can cause respiratory failure within an hour.”
Is the mother going to die since the snake struck her tail?
Should have enlisted a honey badger for help...
So Daff, you think they’d take on bears?
Over here, the squirrel mommas are in the family way, so the worst drama I’ve seen is their inability to fit into the squirrel-proof er squirrel-buffet sunflower feeder.
(Well, the fine print does say *gray* squirrel-resistant — no mention of the little red ones.)
Not surprised.
I once saw a grey squirrel kill and eat a small rattlesnake. The juvenile squirrels can be killed by a snake, but the adults can get bit without getting killed.
They do get sick and feverish for the better part of a week, but they’re fine after that.
Species I would like to see go extinct:all veminous snakes, scorpions, Black Widows, Brown Recluse Spiders, Grizzy Bears, flies, mosquitoes and, of course, all sharks except Nurse Sharks.
