The Atlantic actually did a much better job. The documentary left out some key details. The fact that Pearl had 2 other children that were in DCF protection custody was never mentioned. Also a councilor Barbara Dixon also did not report the abuse at the direction of a supervisor was left out of the documentary. Dixon was not charged with a crime because she agreed to testify against her coworkers. Both of these facts made this case much worse and truly showed the utter incompetence of DCF. In fact after watching this documentary I concluded DCF should be disbanded. Calling them is a waste of time or worse a danger to the child.

I’m not so sure this was incompetence.
This has the feel of maliciousness on the part of the “worker” and the councilors.
I’m wondering now if this little boy wasn’t getting setup to become a marketed item for a pedo nest and the worker and councilors’ office aren’t part of it.
