One of the issues with Covid-19 is the “unknown denominator” problem. There needs to be a way to test the general population to see how many have mild or asymptomatic cases. Right now the only people being tested are those with symptoms.

Everyone on the Diamond Princess was tested. That added 400 asymptomatic cases to the 300 known cases, which changed the 7 deaders from 2.3% fatalities to 1% fatalities.
