Plumbing supplies were near the top of our prep list in late Jan/early Feb.

Especially replacement things for the toilet and fixit stuff for any leaks we might have.

Probably not too late to get that stuff but you might have to order it from a bigbox and have it delivered. Or venture to your local ace or order from ace.

There are LOTS of fixit videos on utube.

Yea, I’ve been buying the same. Toilet rebuild kits, flapper valves, etc. Also, if you have copper plumbing, buy some flux, because that stuff stops working after a few years (at least for me it did). Likewise with PCV, be sure to have fresh glue and primer, for obvious reasons. Think of it as your first house - a real fixer-upper and everything you have that isn’t made of metal is not trustworthy (at least if you’re as old as me).

Generally I’m overstocked on that stuff here. And, all the piping in our place is plastic. No prob. to take apart the sink drain. Have been doing all my own plumbing for over 40 years. Totally replaced everything inside this house except the kitchen faucet in 2006. Did that one in 2014, IIRC. ;-)

Notes to self:

Check to make sure the PVC cement has not dried up!

Consider purchasing backup for well pump.
