the ONLY reason it’s decreased in SK is because of measures we aren’t taking.
They tested nearly EVERYbody in that region that was at risk for contact. And everyone who was positive was told to stay home.
They closed schools, public spaces, etc.
Of COURSE the numbers are decreasing now.
That didn’t just happen on its own...
Just so folks are not confused, it is the number of increase numbers in SK that are decreasing. The number of new cases has been slowed, not stopped.
I agree. The countries that are among the best to have fought this are:
South Korea
Taiwan
Singapore
Japan
They are homogeneous, educated populace, and a history of being run as military dictatorships.
THE US is not homogeneous, lots of uneducated who are allergic to learning, and are a rebellious people.
I’m guessing that states/areas in this country that are homogeneous, etc. will do a lot better than the diverse states and areas that will likely devolve into raging dumpster fires...
