What are they doing?
I note your posts of panic get virtually no replies. I wonder why.
Someone I know was sick as a dog last week and didn’t take a day off work. He finally saw a doctor after flying domestically twice. Doctor didn’t test but said he probably had CV and now will be immune from it.

The experts on viruses of this type aren’t stupid. They had to know what was coming, given the characteristics of this particular virus. I’m wondering if they presented the political types with the cold hard reality very early and told them they’re really nothing we can do to stop it or even delay it very much.

Another busy day on March 8 @UWVirology. #SARSCoV2 #CoronavirusUSA tests for 450 people with about 13% positive. Many samples coming from other parts of the US so unclear what this rate means for the Seattle outbreak. Clearly there are many people infected.

A more lethal but more stealthy spread is not likely. The most likely is a more stealthy spread of a less symptomatic version, which may or may not turn more lethal with further mutation.
