Its interesting to see the trajectory of Kim in last week’s episode. She really believes that the law is a force for good. When she has to confront the stubborn homeowner who is blocking the Mesa Verde project she tries to use reason and compassion to make him see what is in his best interest. What she eventually realizes is that people just see the law as a trick society plays on them to cheat them out of their happiness. She’s beginning to get as cynical as Jimmy is about human nature.

Could be. Hate to say this, but I'm on Mesa Verde's side on this. They own the land and the old man is a tenant, not a homeowner. That's the arrangement they all agreed to 30 years ago.

I would've offered him more than $18K just to get him moving. Now he's going to get nothing AND evicted.
