My aunt’s mother died in late January of Pneumonia, she was just shy of her 94th birthday, she was hospitalized and then released, a few days later she was going to the bathroom and was found dead on the floor..makes ya wonder if she had coronavirus will never know she was already cremated
Someone made a good observation that cases will spike after Spring Break due to all the travel.
Did they close down the Fulton County schools in 2009 during the Swine flu outbreak? There were already over 1000 deaths before Obama even bothered to declare an emergency. Someone more cynical would think that this was more due to politics than any actual need to shut down an entire county (the largest in the state).
Feel sorry for the parents who will be inconvenienced...
but less traffic is always welcome.
Native since 1950.
Are you from Ga? My husband is in Fulton Co- he is a recovering throat cancer survivor, over 60 and is extremely high risk.
If anyone hears where this is, can you please PM me?
Thank you.
But the whole school system is being shut down tomorrow.
Saw the teacher had been to 3 schools- one is in Fairburn which is 12 miles from my husband.
I hope they can trace where this teacher was exposed.
Exactly.
Based on concerns over the virus, Fulton County says they immediately dismissed Bear Creek Middle School, Woodland Middle School, and Creekside High School. All schools in Fulton County, including most in Atlanta, will be closed on Tuesday as a precaution to assess potential risk and to clean and disinfect all schools.
This has updates
Costco up on Barrett Pkwy had no tp or paper towels. The stock inventory guy that works the back said it's been like that for a while. If they get any in it's gone in no time.
My wife and I have kept stocked up for years with essentials (we had 60 rolls of tp stacked over the cabinets in the garage when this started), but I happened to think that people in apartments with no room for storage are probably the knee-jerk panic purchasers.
I was in the AF during Swine Flu - we got a double dose of the vaccine that was killing civilians who got a single dose (gotta be careful with fast spin-ups of vaccines)...but it was business as usual.

An employee with the Fulton County School District tested positive for coronavirus. All Fulton County Schools are closed today. Schools will be cleaned today. The superintendent will finalize a plan for the district no later than 5pm today.
@wsbtv
They clearly didn’t have a plan already in place.
Idiots.
Keep in mind that Fulton County is a solid dark Blue county run by Lefty Liberals.
Thats my point. If youre old and infirm, worry a bit. The rest of us will either be just fine, or get sick and then be just fine.
