Now, we re-open Disney World. Are you ready to shut it down again the next day when COVID-19 is still active?
What is your executive decision?
_That_ is why public officials are freaking out right now.
No win scenario.
If you were a Disney lawyer, what would you tell the executives about tort?
What is Disney’s liability if they’re implicated in an outbreak?
Ditto the restaurants?
It’s an interesting line of thought.
Who DOES end up really paying for the million dollar ICU visits.
If we get enough of them from this, we WILL get medicare for all.
I DO think the Disney executives should have to mingle with the customers at the gate when they file in.
No question about that.
Risk to your workers should be no greater than risk to yourself in this matter...
THAT might change their minds.
So Far:
Disney Land Hong Kong: CLOSED
Disneyland Shanghai: CLOSED
Disneyland Tokyo: CLOSED
Disneyland Paris: TBD
Disneyland California: TBD
Disney World Orlando: TBD
I'd say, if things get bad enough at any location, Disney will close parks. We just don't know what that point is. I'll bet Disney knows, and we will know better when Paris closes.
Yes, shut it down at least they are still alive to live another day. And yes life for everyone is going to be more challenging whether we want to believe it our not. When the elite stay dying off these greedy executive decisions won’t amount to a hill of beans.
