The patient was a woman in her 60s who had no known history of international travel or contact with a person who was infected, leading officials to believe she contracted the virus within the county’s local community, according to the Santa Clara County Public Health Department.
She was hospitalized for several weeks before she died at El Camino Hospital on Monday, officials said.
Im curious how long several weeks actually are (time in hospital) and how that fits into the timeline of Californians getting sick.
Very sad....and....scary.
No known contact w/person who was infected/international travel.
Just going about her business, maybe going to the store to stock up on a few items....and, bam, she’s infected, and then dies.
Sixty is NOT that old.
I’m sure we’ll find out she had ‘serious underlying conditions’. :(
