Self-Quarantine Notice for Nile River Cruise Passengers
Harris County Public Health (HCPH), Houston Health Department, and Fort Bend County Health and Human Services ask any local residents who recently traveled to Egypt and took a Nile River cruise to immediately self-quarantine for 14 days and contact their local health department.
On March 5, 2020 the M.S. A’sara cruise traveling to and from Aswan, Egypt was quarantined due to COVID-19 exposure. Local health department officials are proactively seeking M.S. A’sara passengers, from the Greater Houston area, who traveled on the cruise line from February 12 to March 5, 2020 because they may have been exposed to COVID-19 (only passengers on the M.S. A’sara cruise need to contact their local health department).

It’s because no matter what else happens in this world, no one wants to have a dirty bum.
Some thing are just a matter of human dignity.
There are forehead temp sensors that take the reading a couple inches from your forehead. No contact. Take mine three times a day. Have been running slightly cold past few days. -0.5 f off average.

If the Disney executives aren’t comfortable manning the front gate in civilian clothes they need to shut ‘er down or get something more protective for the employees. (i’m betting seeing the greeters in bunny suits would discourage attendance though)
if your management isn’t comfortable meeting patients in the gear you have to meet patients...get better gear or shut down. you’re just spreading infection otherwise. To yourselves and everyone else besides.
HK healthworkers went on strike last month because their protective suits were only level 2 at best.
This is a ‘test’ pandemic. There’s a worse one out there for next time. We have GOT to sort this out before we deal with one with 50% mortality.
I told my wife today, I think we’re going to need more bacon.
A small personal story... I spoke to a friend today who said 10 local police were out with flu, incl her husband. I asked if they tested positive for flu and she said 2 of them did and one is in the hospital for pneumonia. She said she decided against going to her dads birthday party as to not expose him to the flu. So could be nothing, but she acted like it was unusual.
In a couple more weeks we will probably ALL be wishing they had shut the whole Damn thing down.
Ya. We’ve seen the forehead sensors.
Lots of the ‘temp takers’ actually place those ON the forehead of everyone in line.
AIE!

New Zealnd Medical officers given power to quarantine entire vessels, aircraft
“This steps up powers from being able to quarantine individuals and extends it to an ability to quarantine entire vessels,” she said at a post-Cabinet press conference.
If this thing gets in the elderly population in FL, it might go through them like poop through a goose.
*** Id like to think that we can at least make our own d@mn TP, here. ***
I had relatives who had a Sears catalog with the pages folded fancy then the catalogue bent into a circular shape. A bucket of corn cobs sat in a bucket on the floor.
I hate auto correct. Keeps changing corn cobs to corn dogs. Ack!
Ok, last one. I didnt see this today, sorry if its a repost:
Life Care Center held its first media briefing Saturday, announcing that since Feb. 19, 26 residents have died. It is an acute care facility where about three to seven residents die in a typical month, it said in a written statement.
Most of the patients died at hospitals, where they were tested: 13 who died at hospitals had the new coronavirus, officials said on Saturday. But 11 died at the nursing home, and Life Care said it had no information about post-mortem tests to see whether any of them had the disease.
A team of 30 medical professionals from the U.S. Public Health Service began arriving at Life Care over the weekend to relieve exhausted and ill staff.
In its statement Saturday, Life Care said 70 of its 180 employees have shown COVID-19 symptoms and are no longer working. A day later, an official said three employees of Life Care have been hospitalized, and one of them is confirmed positive for coronavirus.
Any old remote infrared temp sensor from the garage or shop will do. Some will read from a meter away. I’ve learned my usual forehead temp is about 89°F in 70° surroundings.
How would people be so irrespeonsible to go ahead with spring break**
we’re dealing with yoots that eat tide pods
Very true, but on the other hand if you don’t eat you don’t poop! ;-)
The United States is the worlds top IMPORTER of TP ($2.29B)
China is the worlds largest EXPORTER of TP ($2.84B)
On the plus side, if you run out of food, you won't need much TP. On the minus, if your prep closet is full of canned chili and no tp, well... I always keep at least a month or two on hand, but if my wife is told to work at home, well, I better go get more.
Have used a 2 % bleach solution and sprayed US bills with it. Drenched. Wait 5 minutes. Flip over and repeat. Use garage floor. Hang to dry over night. They handled the 2 % bleach fine. Or just put the money in a bag and let sit for two weeks.
Never let a good panic attack hinder cataclysmic speculation.
