I had a dental hygienist that was Afghan, but had lived a long time in Germany. That’s what he said about this country, everything is so big compared to Germany. He said in Germany apartments are so small, refrigerators are so small, etc. And here people can afford better stuff.

It would probably be good if all of them could see the way we live. And compare. Everyone except one aunt in Italy has tiny Apartments. My cousin was sleeping in the dining room on a pull out couch, that was her bedroom. They couldn’t afford a bigger apartment. My aunt they called wealthy, and she had what would probably be a small house here. Maybe 1200-1400 square feet. And they could never hope for anything better, there was no saving money. The price of food and the mortgage was exorbitant. My uncle was a police officer and had to work a second job just to make ends meet.
But yeah, all that “free” stuff is great.
