To the best of my knowledge, there has NEVER been a war-gamed germ warfare attack where the response was swift enough, or decisive enough, not one, not even when the people gaming are trained and fully versed in the dangers of germ warfare.

What chance does any politician or petty bureaucrat have of doing better?

It was obvious for weeks that we weren’t doing the needed testing like, for example, Korea was.

Instead, Trump—as he continued to do even this week—was pushing the “only 15 here, isn’t that great” line.

The CDC is a corrupt private/public hybrid not totally unlike the Fed. And how much more of a hint did he need than Rod Rosenstein’s sister over there in charge of the infectious diseases?

He’s of course the germophobe in chief and apparently they’ve been doing prep behind the scenes on some levels for weeks, but this was the one big miss.
