I hear ya...personally, I just can't see paying hundreds of dollars that they now charge for concerts.

As always, there's an exception to every rule. Last September, I plunked down about $150 for a ticket to Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival, in Dallas. It would have cost me double, but no family members wanted to go with me...lol.

I've been to some great concerts, but this one was off the charts. It lasted 8 hours, with an incredible array of performers. Los Lobos, Buddy Guy, Doyle Bramhall II, Tedeschi Trucks Band, to name a few.

A lasting memory is Clapton taking the guitar solo with Los Lobos' "Made to Break Your Heart." Bill Murray was worth the price of admission as the emcee for the event.

Once in a while, 1960s rock concert posters will show up on History Channel shows like Pawn Stars.
They'll list a dozen super groups at a given concert and the ticket price is $5.50.
