lastchance :" Something that just occurred to me in reading your post is this,
“Could the virus also become a trigger for autoimmune diseases such as MS?”

There is some recent research evidence that covid-19 may attack not just the pulmonary system,
but also the nervous system which controls breathing.
The virus is so novel, and the Chinese are less than cooperative with information, that there is much recent information coming out from NIH and CDC.
This research has not undergone peer review, nor had official publication, so it remains interesting, but still is conjecture.
Medical researchers are learning more and more each day, from reliable local sources,
rather than relying solely on the Chinese government sources.

“..but also the nervous system which controls breathing” It also controls cardiac function. One of the results of my MS is having an abnormal EKG. Of course this was only discovered after lots and lots of testing for other causes. And by the way the monitors of stress testing get a little put out if you clutch your arm and shout “I’m coming Elizabeth!” But really they asked me every 10 seconds if I was doing alright.
