And they are using “preexisting condition” as another term for smoker so as not to panic the 34.2 million smokers in the US.
The data from China and Iran is so muddy that they don’t “know” much other than broad age statistics.
The data on “pre-existing condition” means less than it appears to imho—the older you are the more pre-existing conditions you have!
Also, the pre-existing condition lists I have seen is so long that it includes every common disease (except I did not see cancer on the list).
