SARS-CoV-2 : Case numbers in Germany, China and worldwide

As of March 3rd, 2020 Case numbers in Germany

So far, 196 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection have been confirmed in Germany. After the infection cluster at a company in Bavaria (14 cases) and individual cases among German citizens who were flown out of Wuhan in early February 2020, cases of illness have become known in almost all federal states since February 25, 2020.

As of March 2, 2020 (data status 3:00 p.m.), cases from 49 counties in 10 federal states were reported. The cases are between 2 and 69 years old (median 36.5 years, mean 37 years). Gender is known in 148 cases, of which 84 (57%) are male, 64 (43%) female. For 146 cases (93%) it is known that they either had contact with a confirmed case or were in a risk area or area with an increased number of cases. The Heinsberg district is 91 times known, 19 times Italy, 7 times Iran and 2 times China. In other cases, investigations are still ongoing.
