Coronavirus: UAE announces six more cases of Covid-19
Six more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the UAE, the Ministry of Health and Prevention said on Tuesday.
The patients include two Russians, two Italians, a German and a Colombian citizen, who are “in a stable condition and receiving all the necessary health care required”.
The six people had come into contact with two Italian participants of the UAE Tour who tested positive for coronavirus at the weekend, the Ministry said.
The final stages of UAE Tour were subsequently cancelled and two hotels on Yas Island, where cyclists and team members had stayed, were put under quarantine

FOTFLOL!!!!!!
After voting tonight, I’m gonna make a trip to Wal-Mart and see just how bad it is in terms of panic buying.
I’m gonna buy some OJ, some wheat flour, molasses, yeast, some canned vegetables and see if there’s any Tylenol available.
On top of seeing the first person wearing a surgical mask today, this could get interesting.
Because someone likes the attention.
Sequencing identifies different genomes in the two Brazilian cases of coronavirus
The genome of the coronavirus (covid-19) isolated in the second Brazilian patient diagnosed with the disease on Saturday, February 29, is different from that found in the first case, confirmed on February 26.
The first isolate proved to be genetically more similar to the virus sequenced in Germany. This second genome is more similar to that sequenced in England. And both are different from Chinese sequences. This fact suggests that the coronavirus epidemic is maturing in Europe, that is, internal transmission is already occurring in European countries. For a more accurate analysis, however, we need data from Italy, which has not yet been sequenced, said Ester Sabino, director of the Institute of Tropical Medicine (IMT) at the University of São Paulo (USP), to Agência Fapesp.
Its nice to be up 70% in a day but, alas, these high flyers don’t last once the bump is over. They also were an early entry with a SARS and Zika vaccines but the economics of producing doses at scale are beyond the capabilities of the small fry. It typically takes 3 years to get over the hurdles before PDUFA in the US but it sounds like they may get to market in Asia faster with more relaxed testing constraints.

Coronavirus: Australian cases rapidly increasing
Six more people have tested positive to the coronavirus in NSW, bringing the total number of those infected in the state to 15 since the outbreak began.
NSW Health is alerting passengers who were on five separate flights from Asia in the past week after two men in their 30s, a man in his 50s and two women in their 60s tested positive following their arrival in NSW.
The men in their 30s travelled from Iran, the two women flew from Japan and South Korea respectively, and the man in his 50s was returning from Singapore.
Meanwhile a woman in her 50s who hasn’t been out of Australia recently has also tested positive to the coronavirus.
And health authorities are advising passengers who sat near a coronavirus-infected woman on a Dubai-to-Sydney flight to immediately isolate themselves at home
If they can slow it down by contact tracing and quarantining, then there’s a chance the warmer weather will help kill it off.
If so, maybe it won’t resurface in the fall.
And if it does, we will be that much closer to treatments and vaccines.
They are looking for a way to reduce their prison population.
Use them to do the dirty work and hope, or dont care, if they get sick and fall over dead from it.
Oregon has just under 20 confirmed cases of Wuhan flu. They just announced that there are probably 500 undiagnosed cases in Oregon.
Just had our first confirmed case in Wake county, NC. Was visiting the nursing home in Seattle that has all the cases.
That nursing home might be the testing grounds of the Super ChiCom virus.
RNA virus’ mutate quickly.
