Asked to self quarantine should be required to.
Local news is reporting #COVID19 quarantine trailers are being set up in addition to the purchase of a motel.
now i’m really tempted
Best opening credits ever!
At the Life Care Center in Washington there was a photo of a nurse leaving the facility. Had on her flowering nurse’s blouse and matching pants, surgeon’s mask on, and carrying her metal coffee mug. Heading to her car.
I know it would be difficult, if not impossible to quarantine these workers. But at least have them go through a decontamination procedure before they leave!
Although even then, there are only so many portable shower trailers and changing facilities. (Our community of churches has one that follows a group of homeless men as they rotate through the churches on a month-to-month basis.)
“I was rightfully locked down”
I would agree that the thread needed a time out, but not yourself. You’re doing a GREAT SERVICE here - basically a one-stop shop for the hundreds, likely thousands, of people to find out what’s going on.
When I’m at work, and on a big distribution list for something I don’t really care about - I just trash the e-mails. I don’t consider myself important enough to waste that person’s time by having them make a special effort to delete me...and what the heck, once in a while something useful could come through.
Same here - no one forces anyone to click on a thread, much less hijack it.
true .
“The CDC that counsels healthy people not wear safety masks?”
Now that’s a CHEAP SHOT. The CDC tells healthy people to not wear masks because they are not effective against picking up the virus.
...of course once the supply of masks is sufficient, then they’ll find ‘new research’ and DEMAND everyone wear one when in public.
SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) — Two people in Orange County have tested positive for the novel coronavirus and county health officials on Tuesday warned the public to expect more cases.
The two people, a man in his 60s and a woman in her 30s, had recently traveled to countries that have widespread reports of COVID-19, officials said.
The diagnoses were described as “presumptive positive,” with testing samples being sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for final confirmation

I agree. It only makes sense to me that if you have something that blocks at least some particles and particularly droplets, it’s certainly better than nothing.
Ironically, people wearing masks in public will now be looked at as infected, rather than simply acting rationally...thanks to our wonderful CDC.
Yikes....two beds to a room?/section? I guess no worse than a double hospital room?
We’re good for any length of self quarantine, too. As long as there’s electricity and FR. Can kick back and catch up with shows series and read. Get some minor chores done if well enough. Up side is it kicked my butt back into getting preps in line. If things go downhill, well, nothing much but fight it and hope for the best. That said, I don’t see any panic on the thread. Folks are rightfully upset with WHO, CDC and stupid people but no running in circles setting hair on fire.
People mock when they’re jealous.
“Disney will take a hit from the park, but its streaming service will soar.”
Agreed.
Huh? What happened?
The problem is all the deep folds in the AC filter material.
Maybe Ill try ironing them out first. LOL
Where did we go?
