"I Want Your Love" is a song by American band Chic from their second album C'est Chic (1978), featuring a solo lead vocal by Alfa Anderson.

"I Want Your Love" reached number one on the Billboard Dance Club Songs in November 1978. It peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 1979 and remained on the chart for 19 weeks.

Confession: When I was about 10, this was the first album I bought for myself - embarrassing I know. When this song played when I was home alone after school, I always thought the doorbell was ringing. Drove me crazy.

Yes they played it at Studio 54 the 1 time I got in there with my future wife. Man that place was fun but it was not the only place to disco down and party in NYC:-)
