It’s almost an act of war on Turkey’s part, yes?

Not really.

The EU was supposed to give Turkey around $4 billion and the euro-monkeys welched.

Europe is dead anyway.

Well wait a minute. Even if Turkey didn’t get their $4 billion, it’s still an act of war to attack Greece. Isn’t it?

Yes, lots of commentators, right and left, are wondering whether it is time to Kick Turkey out of Nato. The problem is there is nothing in the charter that allows such a move. Still, a vote by all the other member states would send a signal to Turkey and Erdogan. The US no longer shares intelligence with Erdogan and after he bought aircraft from Russia, the USA will not sell the any updated F35 are next generation aircraft to Erdogan. Turkey is migrating out of the Nato sphere and I guess will eventually align with China or Russia, etc. Personally I wish Trump would call the out and put a US base right on the Greek side of the border with Turkey

Should have never let Turkey into NATO, they weren’t going to stay secular forever.

“...it’s still an act of war to attack Greece. Isn’t it?.”

A despicable bit of politics, yes. Act of war, no. And, even if it was, Greece, which is on the verge of being a failed state, would be wise not to notice it. Turkey is, on paper at least, one of the strongest, best armed nations in the local area. Greece is in no position; militarily or economically, to pick a fight with Turkey. It’s a nationally humiliating position to be in, but they did it to themselves.
