your take on likely case?
(I have a range of ‘takes’ but like to see if others arriving at something more fit for a stephen king novel as well)
If it's like a very mild flu season in the US then it will infect 5% of the population, or 1,850,000.
But I think it spreads a lot easier than the flu. So I'm guessing worst flu season ever. A bad flu season is 20%. So I'll go 30% or 111,000,000. But either way IF nothing changes either of those numbers will crash our health care system.
Best case: Very low and the United States goes into World War 2 production mode and makes a whole bunch of medical equipment in a very short amount of time.
