So how valid were any so called tests in the past.

This is a _very_ touchy subject, as I learned on one of the earlier threads.

My question was--if the South Korean and Italian tests were good, why couldn't we use the same tests here?

I think CDC wanted to get an excellent test, but the thing is, when every day counts, the perfect is the enemy of the good....
