Compare that to a CFR for seasonal flu of less than 0.1%. The Spanish Flu is estimated to have had a CFR of around 2.5%. That, folks, along with the obvious ease with which the virus is spreading, and it's obvious ability to overwhelm a health care system, is why this is being taken so seriously. The CFR in a system where the virus is relatively contained will almost certainly be lower than the CFR in an overwhelmed system. Still, my preparations center more around the supply chain and stock market disruptions than they do around avoiding or surviving the virus.

Great post! We need to be prepared to possibly be confined to our homes for up to a month or to have enough in case stores run out due to the factors you mentioned.

You also don’t want to be caught up in big crowds with panic buying situations, and I hate waiting in lines so don’t want to be in stores that have long lines.

I am a free man, I am not going to be holed up inside my house for a month because the government tells me to. The way you willingly accept that and cheer it on disturbs me.

Apologies for my post 180. In looking at your post again, I see you don’t say forced, you just say prepared, as if by choice.
