Id cancel if having to transfer at Frankfurt- never again!
Seville and Barcelona are two “Don’t miss” stops in Spain.
My policy does have that option, because I paid a premium price for it,
Your suggestions are very fuzzy given what we have seen happen to tour groups where one person on a plane, bus, or in a hotel, develops symptoms. In fact at least 2 hotels in Tenerife are now on lockdown for 14 days because of single travelers showing symptoms. Within 3 weeks even EU countries could be closing borders to each other.
Travel internationally within 3 weeks?
No way.
Call your insurance carrier before you call Lufthansa. They should be able to give you a heads up as to how trip cancellations work at this time. Whatever you do do not cancel online until you get the details.
I would definitely cancel. It is not worth the risk, and you could end up hospitalized or dead overseas (which is always a risk, but moreso now).
We have a relative who was planning to go to northern Italy next month, on a group tour event with WWII vets. I have to believe they will be canceling.
Go To Colombia, was there last March. Beautiful scenery and people.
Because it is anti-bacterial?
(Just curious, cuz I use it every day to wash dishes).
“Ask yourself this will you enjoy the trip given the coronavirus uncertainty”?
Excellent point. It would be an unpleasant, regrettable experience.
Another thing that could happen is you try to return to the US and either are not allowed to return or you get stuck in quarantine.
I would not go.
Living your dream means living.
That is a sound plan.
True that.
But the theft rate is VERY high.
You have to be on your guard ALL THE TIME.
Antarctica is easy. You take a cruise ship (about six different companies go there), step off onto rock, then get back on the ship and leave. Not what I call “roughing it”.
In our winter it is summer there, and on the rocks facing South America, the high temperature can be 50 to 60F.
Long cruises there are pricey, so you want the shortest distance cruise you can find.
I wouldn’t travel anywhere right now unless I absolutely had to.
My brother just returned from Turkey and Israel one week ago. I asked if they checked passengers before boarding the planes and he said no. He’s feeling fine.
Had no problem in Bogota or Cartagena.
Keep it til just before. It might be the only way out of this mess at the time.
Yes, the odds are against getting the coronavirus. But why risk it? You're the judge of how badly you really need to fly.
Travel agents are saying to wait until the last minute to not lose any money. Airlines are doing full refunds when they stop flying to destinations.
I dont think they have any cases in Turkey, in Israel they have 12 cases, all having to do with contact with someone or visits to Italy..Israeli’s love going to Italy its only a 2 hour flight, and of course going on cruise ships. My moms aunt said she wanted to go on a cruise I really really hope she didnt go on the Diamond Princess, I doubt she went since she said she didnt want to go alone
