I see pictures of trash, and animals eating in piles of trash.

You actually have to have a minimum standard of living to have trash lying around that no one is fighting over. India seems to have exceeded that threshold. When I was in Vietnam, almost 30 years ago, they didn’t. The whole place was decaying, but there wasn’t much trash. Plastic bottles were much in demand. Cambodia was worse. But not much trash.

Did you see the pics of dead people and animals floating down the Ganges, along w/ mounds of poop on the shores, while people bathe etc etc etc? Scroll down. Hard to believe that multiple epidemics aren’t rampant over there, daily.

I have a friend who works for DPAA, and he said Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand, just to name three, over now overflowing with plastic and assorted trash.
