CDC Defends Its Handling Of Coronavirus Case In California
...During testimony by CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield before the House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific Thursday, Rep. Ami Bera, MD (D-Calif.), a former chief medical officer for Sacramento County, said he learned that UC Davis Medical Center first requested and been refused a coronavirus test on Feb. 19, the same day the patient was admitted.
Asked about Rep. Bera’s account of events, Messonnier replied, “According to CDC records, the first call we got about this patient was on Sunday, February 23rd. Period.”
California - 33 but 5 transferred to? (Nebraska?)
So.....where are the 27 lovely remaining folks? (not including Friday’s cases?) Just so we can remain downwind and all. And is this why LAX and SFO declared emergencies to get the fed funds?
California Monitoring 8,400 People for Coronavirus, 33 Have Tested Positive
California is monitoring 8,400 people who arrived in the state on domestic commercial flights for the Wuhan coronavirus, Governor Gavin Newsom announced on Thursday.
33 individuals have already tested positive for the virus, five of whom have been moved out of the state....The announcement came after other locales in the U.S. have announced similar monitoring efforts, though none as extensive as in California. 608 people were being monitored under self-quarantine in Massachusetts, with 377 of those released without symptoms.
