Several years ago in San Diego (I think), a parade/protest was organized using Mexican radio stations. Hundreds of thousands of Mexicans showed up to march and no one knew it was going to happen. LEOs were caught flat footed. No one listens to Mexican stations... except Mexicans.

Three+ decades back...I exited the Navy and returned to college. I wanted to learn a foreign language and took up Spanish. Hit it hard...lessons, joined a couple of groups, searched out “authentic” Mexican restaurants, visited Spain/PR/Costa Rico/Mexico...listened to the local Mexican radio. Got to be somewhat fluent...could navigate other countries OK. Now...it’s mostly gone. BUT... hearing Spanish on the radio still makes me want to visit a Mexican restaurant for dinner.
