Because you're the expert, Doc.
Irrefutable and unassailable.
I fully support show trials of free traitors.
Trump said there are already planned to quarantine U.S. cities in place.
Also, look what N. Korea did:
Our first line of defense is airport enhanced screening. Which fumbled at first but seems to be working well now.
Limiting incoming int’l flights to designated airports was super smart - as the 8K or so Calif alone has corralled at their two entry point demonstrates. If we can keep tracking, we’ve got half the game won. Let the MSM moan and groan, but President Trump has made all the right moves.
Morning!
You’re bright eyed and bushy tailed!
“I think the plan is that since it is not stoppable by other than totalitarian methods to just let the virus run its course and hope that our superior health care systems are up to the challenge.”
I’ve kind of concluded the same after calculating the number of people coming here from China and elsewhere in Asia on a daily basis (something like 50,000, or more). Knock it down to 5,000 and the virus would still get in. Knock it down to 500 a day, and the virus would still, eventually get in. Knock it down to zero, but you still have the rest of the world not shutting down travel, and so it comes in from Italy, for example.
The only chance to stop it was when it was first detected in Wuhan, and China tried to do that quietly (at first), and failed. At that point it was game over for the rest of the world.
I still don’t agree with that policy, as delaying the onset would have at least bought some time, but here we are.
The day that I saw the head of the CCP in Hubei announce that there would be no more cases in Wuhan a week ago...I stopped paying attention.
I was a manager long enough to know that if the big boss tells me there will be no more cases...there will be no more cases.
By the time this starts eating Harlem, the system will be so overwhelmed we will not get accurate counts.
With this virus, screening is useless due to the asymptomatic carriers.
“The day that I saw the head of the CCP in Hubei announce that there would be no more cases in Wuhan a week ago...I stopped paying attention.”
When I go to BNO, I don’t even look at the China numbers anymore, I just scroll down to the rest of the world.
I do that for Iran too.
I suspect the ‘over’ mortality there may be a worse strain, or the fact that they smoke like chimneys.
*** Another example of what weve pointed out here before: Those who dont live alone (in a self-contained house, as well) who self-quarantine are likely infecting those they live with, who in turn are going out and infecting others. ***
Absolutely. How many of those people told to self quarantine live alone? Were those who have families/roommates given protective gear or trained in infection safety protocols?
The idea is ludicrous that there is not going to be cross infection/clusters from the woeful reaction from our CDC/government in response to this. The really maddening thing is there was time to mitigate the spread, and it was ignored, and even worse scoffed about.
Exactly.
I have an image in my mind of bodies piled up in the staircases of high rises in Wuhan.
But none of then from the virus. Because cases are going down.
Pump and dump REGN?
Welcome newbie. You may wish to hang around and get a feel for the place.
Or, more likely, iatrogenic related deaths.
I don’t think they were giving him good information, but ultimately the responsibility for the government’s response rests with the president.
Lick the end of my intestines.
“I do that for Iran too.”
Me too, it’s a pain as I have to factor them out when I add up the ‘recovered’ versus the ‘deaths’, so as to know what the real kill-rate is for this virus.
Quoting Mayor Pete again?
That fan club subscription is really paying off for you.
An sinister warning from Spooky Dude? ...
George Soros warns Trump of potential economic doom before election
There’s a reason their officials come to this country, or Europe, when they want heart surgery or chemotherapy...
