I remember that he's married to the woman who played the naïve beauty pageant contestant in the movie
Miss Congeniality, with Sandra Bullock.

Heather! She seems super sweet. She’d be fun to meet.

Like I said, the “real” Michael Bolton went way way up in my book after watching that.

One thing’s for certain. I can never think of Michael Bolton again and not associate him with Office Space.
That was some brilliant writing.

I just noticed that the movie trailer gave a song credit to “Cannabis and Biz Markie” for their mashup of “Take this Job and Shove it.” I suspect that turned a few off but I love the song.

I have irritated more than one boss over the past two decades by sarcastically referring to some pointless piece of paperwork as a “TPS Report”.
Thanks, Mr. Judge!

After about a decade of time passing, having worked for a couple of struggling companies, the funniest line of the entire film to me now is.....

I was in high-school. My French teacher was a cute young red-haired woman.
One day we did not learn any French because the night before her date had taken her to see The Jerk and she could talk about nothing but that movie.

We did that to our constantly skipping Dennon CD player back in 1990 out front of our UMASS apartment around 6am.
I imagine the neighbors were horrified.
Yes alcohol was involved...

I have irritated more than one boss over the past two decades by sarcastically referring to some pointless piece of paperwork as a TPS Report. I actually worked for a company in the early 2000's that had TPS reports, not in my department but IIRC in customer service. I don't remember what that stood for but every time we heard some manager ask about the status of the day's TPS reports, we'd all bust out laughing.

The one that really made me laugh is when I started watching The Man in the High Castle. I could just not take Steven Root seriously as a save-the-world kind of guy with Other-World films - Id always picture him mumbling about his red stapler.Well, I had seen him as the IRobot Corporate Director in "Bicentennial Man", the blind Radio Station manager in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and "The odd nerd in BASEketball" so it wasn't a stretch for me to see him as another character in TMITHC.
I love seeing Stephen Root in anything, just like the other great character actor in Office Space, Diedrich Bader (also in Napoleon Dynamite).

Love them both! Root was a crooked judge in ‘Justified’ and was really good. He was also in ‘News Radio’ which was also a lot of fun.
Bader was on Drew Carey for-ever and he had his own short-lived family sit-com for a while last year.

Trivia Fact: Diedrich Bader’s great-grandfather was Mayor of Atlantic City, NJ.

I own two red Swingline staplers. One for the office and the other for my home office.

I own two red Swingline staplers. One for the office and the other for my home office.I noticed right away when I got mine years ago that the red one is streamlined compared to the old squared top styling of the older models like the one in the film that they just painted red. I wonder if anyone owns the original prop.
